Midwest Precision Tool & Die, Inc.

Midwest Precision's Policy is to provide solutions for our Customers through technology, continuous improvement in quality, delivery and customer service.

For those visiting our web site for the first time Midwest Precision Tool & Die, Inc.  began as a small, part-time  business venture operating in the garage of one man's home in 1991 which developed into a massive multi-million dollar production facility.  When it expanded into a newly built production facility the business experienced an almost immediate influx of customers and orders.  Rapid growth prompted rapid changes.  Equipment purchases were necessary to accommodate the quantity of orders.  Those purchases required additional employees to run the new equipment as well as a larger facility.  The expansion project is completed and the business  now operates in a 60,000 square foot facility with nearly 80 employees across three shifts.

MPTD employs some of the most experienced and talented toolmakers in the area.  They are highly trained and developed in their craft.  They take great pride in their work, knowing they are capable of holding tolerances other shops could only hope to achieve.  With the quality measuring equipment they utilize in the facility, such as the Zeiss Prismo CMM’s and the Heindenhain Height Gauges, accuracy can be measured up to an incredible .000040”.  These individuals have perfected their skills so that they can provide precision custom craftsmanship each and every time for every customer.  They are proud of the level of quality they provide and the rapid turnaround time through which they provide it.

While not currently certified, MPTD prides itself in performing according to ISO-9001 quality standards while preparing for their forthcoming certification effort.  With customized, precision tooling, the need for consistent, controlled quality measures is inherent to daily work.  Each process is meticulously executed, with all non-conformances well documented.  Quality isn’t a process; it’s a state of mind at MPTD.

MPTD was built on a strong foundation of commitment to superior quality, true belief in hard work and strong work ethic, and dedication to growth and continuous improvement.  Those values continue to be the building blocks upon which this company continues to grow.
