Quality Control

Quality is the backbone of any successful company.  Obviously, any company can produce and reproduce a product but it has to be done accurately and consistently.

Overseeing this process at MPTD is the quality control department.  Utilizing cutting edge technology, tolerance can be measured to the millionths, rather than just thousandths like most machine shops. Quality can be measured and viewed using the Avant and Vision systems.  These systems allow the quality technicians to to test, compare, and guarantee that the parts are meeting or exceeding the customers expectations before they leave the shop.

Machines and equipment are regularly scheduled for calibration.  This ensures that they are functioning properly and within the correct specifications.  Equipment that is not performing properly will produce products that are out of tolerance and out of specification.  The Quality Control department oversees the regular maintenance and calibration of all equipment to ensure it is functioning well and within specifications.

MPTD has always followed the guidelines and standards set forth by ISO-9000.   The MPTD quality manual is a working document that encompasses all of the requirements described in ISO-9000:2000.  Documentation, procedures, and non-conformance reports also follow the ISO standards.  While MPTD is not currently ISO-9000:2000 certified, they are concentrating on preparations for their upcoming certification.
