Multi-Axis Machining

Those in the tooling industry know that multi-axis machining is critical in the evolution of high precision machining.  Standard three-axis machining can certainly get the job done.  It has for years.  But there is nothing like 4 and 5 axis machining to step up production into high gear and get productivity and efficiency at their maximum output!

While the three axis machines allow for standard movements (up and down, left and right, forward and back), the additional axes create additional movements that reduce downtime, setups, and runtime!  Efficiency is the key with the multi-axis equipment.  And it really delivers!

With the standard equipment, parts would have to be turned and manipulated to access another side.  The part would have to be setup in the machine and with a new program.  With multi-axis, the part can be moved automatically within the machine as part of the program.  The reduction in setup time is incredible.  And, with the multitude of tooling available in the machines, there is practically no limit to the type of work that can be performed.  The opportunities are almost limitless.
