| Grinding (Manual & CNC)
The precision grinding area is comprised of numerous machines, both manual and automated, allowing for unbeatable efficiency. Not to mention, with the quality of the equipment and the skill of the machinists, they able to maintain equally impressive tolerances. Their overall capabilities in this area are vast and continue to improve. Their flat grinding capabilities include .0002" flatness for steel on an area up to 20"x40" and .0002" flatness for aluminum on an area up to 10"x19". The CNC grinders are capable of .0001" total runout on surface to surface inspection. They consistently hold .0002" or better tolerances on diameter and radius cutouts. All measurements are inspected and verified with a Zeiss Prismo VAST CMM. This group prides themselves in their ability to diversify. They grind all types of materials. Like most machine shops, they machine standard materials like Stainless Steel and Carbide. But they've come to specialize in some of the more exotic materials as well, such as inconel, molybdenum, and titanium, just to name a few. Efficiency has also been increased through the use of 3-R tooling with the Mitsui CNC grinders. And they take great pride in their short lead times. Current Machine Capabilities
